Bespoke Soundscapes

As sound begins to play an increasing part in railway modelling for some, having a real world feel – including background soundscapes and platform announcements particular to an individual layout – takes on a new level

From layouts depicting an Edwardian steam station or a 1980s industrial layout to a World War 1 supply railhead, a 1960s countryside halt or any other layout theme you can imagine, I can design and record a background sound recording, or soundscape as I choose to call it, specific and unique to your layout

I will consult with you on the precise sounds, events, and themes of your layout in order to produce a minute by minute timetable of all the layered sounds and effects you desire. When you are happy to sign off on the timetable, I will then produce the recording which will be loaded to an easy to install sound module.

The process takes between 6 and 10 hours usually, spread over a ten to fourteen day period

The cost breakdown is £30.00 for a 20 minute looping recording and £19.50 for the sound module.
